Application Process

The following is a list of requirements when applying to Brimm...

  • Residents of Camden, who have a child graduating from eighth grade from any public, parochial, or private school.
  • Parent returns the completed application to Brimm Medical Arts High School in the spring semester by the due date.
  • Student demonstrates an interest in studies in a medical field.
  • Student meets the academic and attendance requirements.
  • Student takes an entrance exam to evaluate level of competency in English literacy and mathematics.
  • Parent and student are interviewed by school staff.
  • After the above process, students are ranked and the top 65 students are accepted. Others are placed on a waiting list.
  • Acceptance letters are sent out by the end of June.

The school has the highest passing rate in the state test (HSPA) in Camden and in many of the surrounding school districts. The school is one of the few high schools in South Jersey that passed the federal requirements. (NCLB)
